Now that's what I'm talking about

A nice little 10-1 run over the last two weeks, despite an injury to my #2 starter. Outscored the opposition 67-33. A player of the week award for former slacker Franklin Jackson. But, more importantly, a 6-0 record against those poor souls in Saskatoon. It's bad enough that they have to live in Saskatoon, but the mighty Monarchs gave no quarter. Bwaa haaa haaa.

Brooklyn, I'm looking your way now. Move aside for the rightful ruler of the Adams Division. Last year's temporary aberration, and the resulting hangover from the first two weeks of this season, are in our rear view mirror. Fear the wrath of the Monarchs.

  1. Likewise, River Cities should get out of my way, allowing me to whip you for the third time in the Cup.

  2. Watch ME work, Mack. Over the same period I put up a run differential of 74 - 35 I'll take that any day of the week.

And, of course, I'm in first.

And my Pythagorean Record has me underperforming my runs diff by 3 games. Unlike, say, Michael who is justifiably in second hitting his target bang on.

And, of course, Michael has been Oh, so lucky in 1 run and extra inning games. A little regression to the mean should take care of him.

    Watch me work, people.

  3. If you're so dominant, then how did you lose three games over that span, including two (TWO!) to Covington? Heck, how does one lose ANY games to Covington and call itself a title contender?

(Sorry, Aaron, but your team is not, ummm ... how do I put this gently? ... good.)

  4. Cheerfully, I have seven more games left against them than South Bay. And four more against Danville than South Bay. Warms my heart it does.

  5. I'm terrified. Frightened, in fact.

    *ahem*

I have never lead wire-to-wire. In past years, I was as much as 8 games out at midseason and still won it all. So, I'll spot you two games in May, Nate. I can handle it.

  6. Hey you two. Create your own Zotti League post if you want to talk trash. You're runing my "King of the Adams League" vibe with your lame banter.

I can't believe neither Zev nor Trevor have risen to this bait. The cowards.

  7. Mack,

My good friend Pythagoras tells me the Cossacks' drop to third place will be a brief one. Especially now that Clement Nakashima, he of the 7.96 ERA, has been summarily executed.

And as for the slight against my hometown: I'll have you know, Saskatoon is often referred to as the "Paris of the Prairies." What exactly is Seattle the "Paris" of? Permanent cloud cover? Yuppieville Caramel soy macchiatos?
