3. Walla Walla
4. River Cities (from Danville)
5. Houston
6. Los Angeles
7. Hickory
8. Saskatoon
9. Brooklyn
10. River Cities
11. New York
12. Hickory (from Seattle)
We'll do the first round of the draft on Saturday night. Please send in your picks to myself and Michael by then.
For the new owners: The way the draft works is as follows: If you have the first pick, send me one name. If you have the second pick, send two names -- if your top guy isn't taken, you'll get him, if he is taken, you'll get the second choice. If you have the third pick, send three names, and so on.

ReplyDeleteAre you aware that there is a draft feature in the game which would eliminate the need for emails? We used it in the OEL and while Nate/Mack would be the ones most knowledgeable about this, I think they found that it was less work for them. I thought it was preferable from the non-commissioner perspective as well, but don't feel particularly strongly about it.
I also think that the team that ends up witht he player who's name is Gabrial Gabrial deserves a prize. That name is classic. It is like Duran Duran or Bourtos Boutros-Ghali or Yo Yo Ma.
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else having trouble signing personnel? I'm trying to get some minor league spots filled, and I'll find a guy who wants, say, $400k annually for 3 years. I'll offer him $500k for 3 years, and he'll say it's not enough money.

I have not been able to sign any personnel for anything near what they say they will sign for. I am having to go way over what they are asking for in order to sign any of them. It is good times.
