Seattle Wins Game 3, 10-1

The Seattle Monarchs won Game 3 of the Cecil Cup with a 10-3 victory. Unfortunately, it's too late in the day for me to write a summary.

Game 4 on Tuesday night.

  1. Hester pitched well. A little too well...My bats just did not show up, and my pitchers did not show up either. Koepp had been pitching well, but not anymore, with 2 WP 5 BB and a Hit Batsman, not a good performance. With the every other game deal, I have to win the next game right?

  2. Wow, Hester really was on his game yesterday. Two hits and no walks in seven innings. Nice way to bounce back from a terrible pitching performance by Cohen and the bullpen in Game Two.

Meanwhile, the Monarchs put 24 runners on the basepaths, which is great.

Ugly defense though, as the two teams combined for five errors.

So, on to Game Four which the oddsmakers have posted Cleveland as the overwhelming favorite to win given the every-other-game pattern. I think it would be ok if the Steamers broke the streak in Game Four, but I recognize that I'm probably the only one who feels that way.

  3. I hope game 5 is when the streak is broken, not game 4.

  4. No, not game five. Game six would be ok though. (grin)

  5. I just looked at my schedule and my alternating win/loss has been going on since the beginning of the month...14 straight games. I hope it continues for one more!!!
