Sim's Done

Sorry, I'd post more, but as my FB know, I'm sick as a dog.

Next sim, next Wednesday

  1. Oh, son of a bitch! It's my turn on the 'lose a talented kid forever' bandwagon, apparently. Say goodbye to Frank Wooster, a pitcher who won 40 games before he was 25 years old. Crap!

I suppose I should be glad it happened at the end of the sim.

Brutal sim for injuries all around, from the looks of it. In this 15 day period fifteen injuries. In addition to Wooster I could four others that will take a player out for the year in Gerhardt, Cohen, Morales, and Aponte. That's a 2B, a SS, a CL, and two SP gone in one sim. As I said, Brutal.

  2. Well, Nate and I are even again. Maybe it will be like that all season.

Not a bad sim as seeing my changes were not uploaded. I only had 4 healthy SP for 2 weeks, what can you do?

LA extracted some revenge on me taking 2 of 3 in our series. And the Adams League...it is going to be an interesting season this season, and I am looking forward to it.

  3. At the risk of beating a very dead horse, I really wish we could find a compromise on the injury settings. This sucks and does not reflect reality, in my opinion.

  4. Frankly, I concur with Matt. Even lowering the injury setting one notch would be a step up. It's not like it would be unfair as it would apply to all at the same rate.

I've really come around on this issue. Fifteen in one sim is astonishing.

  5. Interesting statistic: Maui (i.e., the entire team) has only one stolen base so far this season (39 games). Maui baserunners have also been caught stealing 10 times.

Evidently, speed is not something my players possess. Alternatively, perhaps I should look into recent allegations that the Maui basepaths are constructed of sand.

  6. I'm not sure that follows, Matt.

Torrealba has caught two baserunners and allowed two stolen bases.

Zwick, on the other hand, has caught twelve and allowed THIRTY-SIX!

    So the numbers are:

    Maui caught stealing: 91%
    Opponents caught stealing: 36%

I think the implication is clear. When you play Maui, run like hell.
