Seattle Beats Up on Amigos Bullpen, Takes Game 3

The Seattle Monarchs came from behind and beat the Saskatoon Amigos 8-6.  The Amigos jumped out to an early lead putting a three-spot up on the board.  Seattle managed to tie the game at 4-4 in the top of the sixth with their own three run inning, but Saskatoon managed to take the lead in the bottom of the inning.  Seattle, however, took the lead in the seventh and solidified it in the eighth with four runs off of Amigo reliever Willie Sewell.  Seattle now leads the Cecil Cup series 2-1.

  1. Not the start I was hoping for out of Hester, but the offense came through and pulled out a win. It got a little exciting at the end with Diaz and Frison each representing the tying run, but closer Tim Vallejo came through.

Tim's agent would like me to remind everyone that he can be YOUR lights-out, automatic closer next season. So be sure to get your checkbook ready!

  2. As another plus, Seattle should get at least one more home game now in Game Six.

  3. Wow, that is great news.

I am tired of Seattle winning this dang thing all the time.
