  1. I knew my team could hit, but wow! I'm hoping to win a lot of 8-6 games this year, by the looks of things.

I love this box score, when Shackamaxon put up a ton of crooked numbers against arch-rival Seattle and beat them 22-7. That was the game where David Seibel hit three home runs, but that wasn't the most impressive stat during the game. Sherman Evanoff was walked five times in the game, and still drove in five runs, by virtue of homering in his other two plate appearances!

  2. Scores of Monck's Corner wins: 6-4, 9-6, 5-2, 6-5, 5-4

    Scores of Monck's Corner losses: 5-4, 10-3, 14-8, 6-3, 5-2, 5-4, 12-5, 3-2, 2-0

7 one or two run games. 50% of the total. That's rough.

  3. Hickory's 11-3 record is especially entertaining in light of the fact that we opened the season by getting swept in three games by Saskatoon. And of the 11 victories, fully *eight* were saved by Tomas Ramirez, putting him on pace for more than 80 saves.

Anyway, pleased with the start, particularly in light of the fact that it's happened with most of the better bats on the roster off to sluggish starts. Fun early season showdown with Cleveland happens as soon as the sim starts.
