I'm excited about the upcoming season. It's a time of transition for the Seattle Monarchs, as a lot of young guys are going to be starting for the first time or for their first full season.
I'm hoping to make the move from a pitching-dominant team to a hitting-dominant team over the next couple years. With Placencia and Hester aging, that change is going to be required if the Monarchs are going to keep making the playoffs.
Shackamaxon looks forward to another scorching hot March and April, before falling off as the season kicks into high gear.

Someone tweeted a picture of Roy Halladay tossing at Citizens Bank Park this morning, while wearing shorts. It's just about 35F/2C here this morning.
