Maui: LF Jose Fernandez strained a hamstring and will miss 4 weeks.
Barstow: P Dalton Davis has tendinitis in his elbow. He'll be riding the pine for eight weeks.

ReplyDeleteIt's clearly time to see whether switching the infield and the pitching staff has an appreciable effect on the team's performance. Do it for science, Jeremy!
A few years ago, I tried converting a failed IF prospect into a pitcher. He couldn't hit worth a lick, but he seemed to have a good arm for the infield, so I tried him as a relief pitcher for a season or two before giving up.
ReplyDeleteI actually drafted three guys this year who had skills as both pitchers and position players. I'm using one as a pitcher and the other two as position players. I'm curious to see how it works out.
