Maui Mashers Defeat Seattle To Capture Third Cecil Cup in Four Seasons

The Maui Mashers are the winners of the 2022 Cecil Cup and the champions of the 21st season of SMDBOOTP baseball. 

Maui defeated Seattle 5-1 to win Game 5 of their series.  Maui starter Kyle Fike shut down the Monarch bats, limiting Seattle to one run on four hits over eight innings.  Seattle starter Ted O'Herlihy, on the other hand, was tagged for five runs in two innings, burying Seattle in a hole that they never crawled out of.

With the season over and several owners away on vacation, we'll give Matt a week or so to bask in the glory of his victory.  During the week, I'll update the online reports and post the upcoming sim schedule.

Congrats, Matt, on winning his third Cecil Cup and congrats to Mack on another well-played season.

    Crazy. The Monarchs were a vastly better team, and deserved the win. But, I'll take it. All hail the coin flip! Congratulations Mack on yet another fantastic season.
