Postseason sim: Cecil Cup game 1

Here we are, folks! It's the end of the 2023 season, and everyone's favorite commissioner faces the (sigh) most illustrious owner in league history. Game one was played at the home of the Seattle Monarchs, good Old League Park. The visiting Brooklyn Wolves were well rested after defeating Maui in five games, while the Monarchs had to win their last three games to defeat Hickory. So, how would game one go?

Unfortunately, it wasn't really close. As feared, the Monarchs steamrolled the Wolves, 11-4, and took the first game of the Cecil Cup. Teddy O'Herlihy pitched seven strong innings, and the Wolves never threatened to make the game close.

Better luck tomorrow, boys from Brooklyn. Game two is Sunday night!
