Luke came up with the #3 person (Bo Jackson, 694 games) and Alex came up wtih Brian Jordan, whose 1456 games is by far more than anyone else.  Michael guessed that the number 2 person was someone from the past, and he was correct.  The person is Charlie Berry,

Berry, a catcher, played MLB for the Philadelphia A's, Red Sox and White Sox from 1925 to 1938, getting into 709 games over the years.  He also played for Pottsville Maroons in 1925 and 1926.

In addition to playing, he was also an American League umpire for 21 years, officiating five World Series and five All Star Games. He eventually became an league umpiring supervisor.  In addition to that, he *also* was a head linesman in the NFL for 24 seasons, officiating at 12 championship games (in the pre-Super Bowl era).
