I really like the negotiations in this version of the game. I'm trying to lock up some of my younger stars, and I just signed the biggest of them all, David Seibel, in this sim. He, after winning his first arbitration award, went for a team-friendly 5-year $40million-ish deal, that includes two option years at the back end.
I'm going to be pretty quiet on the free agent front this offseason, but I'll have a lot of money freed up next offseason. While Lutz and Jeon will each probably get $40m for two seasons, I'll happily have Seibel for 5.
