Slack

Zev and I have setup a Slack for our league. It's something we are going to try for discussions and other things that would normally go on this blog. It also has a direct message chat feature that could be used for trade discussion.

We'll still use this blog for announcements, but I hope we will use the Slack, too. I installed a polling app for surveys. You'll see the first poll once you join.

I set up three channels for now:

  • #general - This is for general announcements and league-related discussions
  • #random - This is for other chatter, like about "real" MLB
  • #tradetalk - Post your trade requests here

Here's the invite link to join the SDMB OOTP Slack.

There are also Slack mobile apps to use on your phone (iOS / Android), which is probably better than the web page.

    To give credit where credit is due, saying "Zev and I set up Slack" is like Tommie Aaron saying "Hank and I hit over 750 home runs..." :)

    True props go to Michael for this. I was just along for the ride.

      Actually... to be more accurate, it's like Hank saying "Tommie and I hit.." :)

    I suggest adding a link to the Slack channel (is it called a channel? whatever) to the links on the top right corner of the blog.
