July II Sim Done

The sim is done and is currently (11:46PM EDT) uploading.  I'm not going to wait up to do a summary... I'll do that tomorrow.

The next sim will be on Sunday night and will cover the period to July 30 -- stopping a day early to give us an extra sim before the trading deadline.

Game Date:  7/1/2025

Standings:
Adams:  Brooklyn's lead over London and Atlanta expanded to five games.
Zotti:  Do I even need to say it?
Signorino:  Philadelphia has a one game lead over Maui
Wild Card:  Brick leads Atlanta, London and Shackamaxon by seven games.

Awards & Accomplishments:
Brick RF Raul Ortaga named Player of the Week (6/23)
Houston 1B Nigel Bryant named Player of the Week (6/30)
Seattle players took home both the Batter and Pitcher of the Month, with the awards going to 2B Norman Kuhn and CL Pat Carmichael.
Antelope Valley 1B Jaime Alvarez was named Rookie of the Month (his second consecutive award).

Significant Injuries:
Atlanta 2B Toshinobu Mizutani strained a hamstring and will miss about four weeks.
Hickory CF Cale Page has an intercostal strain.  He'll be out about four weeks.
Philly LF Jim Edwards strained his back.  It'll be three to four weeks before he's back.
Shackamaxon RP Ambroz Ondra had a setback with his meniscus and will miss another two months.
Hickory 2B Bill O'Neil tore a ligament in his thumb.  He's out for three weeks.

Milestones:
Seattle starter Bruno Talamantez reached 2000 strikeouts.
Veteran London shortstop Jeff Wardlaw reached 1000 runs scored.

June II Sim Done

I ran the sim (late) last night, but did not stay up for the reports to finish.  As a result, you can download the league file and perform your weekly tasks, but the report pages on the site have not been updated, nor have I written a sim summary.  I will take care of those tonight.

Angry Infielder Wants Better, or at Least Different, Job

Seattle Monarchs infielder Ivan Castillo is apparently tired of winning and is unhappy in Seattle. Maybe he doesn't like coffee. Maybe he got on the bad side of Russell Wilson, who runs this town these days. Who knows? It doesn't matter. He is though fed up with being the injury sub in Seattle and wants out of town. I am not the kind of guy who wants to destroy people's happiness, so this post.

I'm not saying he's free, but Castillo is very, very cheaply priced. I need to call up someone who can play SS for a game here or there and Castillo isn't that guy.

Castillo is a guy though with a career .300 batting average over seven seasons. A guy with an .842 career OPS. A guy who has always been an excellent fill-in starter when one of my star infielders has gone down.

If you have any interest, make me an offer. Looking for a draft pick, and not a high one. Not high at all.

Antelope Valley RF Ray McJannett named Player of the Week (6/16)

Significant Injuries:
Houston CF Armando Bustamante has biceps tendinitis.  He's going to miss about three weeks.
Maui starter Matt McDonald strained his shoulder.  He's out for four weeks.
Hickory's Esteban Ordonez suffered an intercostal strain.  He's gone for four to five weeks.
Brooklyn reliever Garland Dawson has shoulder inflammation and is likely done for the year.
