I'm not going to get to the sim tonight, so we'll run it tomorrow night.

Update (Monday night):  I'm sorry, but life got in the way again.  Let's try again for tomorrow night.

Hi guys - am really enjoying this game. I'm obviously in full rebuild mode (now I know why the previous owner decided to bail...) and am spending this season basically learning the ins and outs of the game, but I can see why you guys love it!

Just a heads-up, I will be traveling on business for the next week or two, which means I probably won't be able to do much baseball stuff until mid-October or so.

Antelope Valley Shopping Quijada/Parker

Just thought I'd bump this.  He got hurt in the sim I posted this, so I really couldn't deal him.  If anyone is interested, make an offer.
------------------------------------------
Anyone interested in SS Ronald Quijada?  My scout has him at 4 1/2 stars.  He got off to a slow start, but he has really heated up lately.  Doesn't look like I'll get anywhere this year, so looking to move veterans for prospects.  Prefer guys closer to being Major League ready, as I've had too many multi-star prospects go to 1-2 stars for no reason.  I'll also move Bruce Parker for the right price.

Zotti:  Seattle up by twenty one.
Signorino:  Maui extended it's lead to nine games over New York.
Wild Card:  Brooklyn leads Brick by seven games.

Awards and Accomplishments:
Houston 1B Nigel Bryant wins his fourth Player of the Week award this season (7/17)
Brooklyn's Katsuhiko Jouda named Player of the Week (7/24)

Antelope Valley RF Ray McJannett fractured his wrist and will miss 5-6 weeks.

Brooklyn RF Jamie Vasquez has back soreness and will be on the bench for four weeks.
Atlanta RF Jorge Gonzales has a torn labrum and is done for the year.

Would You Believe...?:
... that despite Seattle's runaway success this year (79-32, .712), there are two teams that have a winning record (so far) against the Monarchs -- Hickory (7-5) and Shackamaxon (5-4).

Next sim:  Next Sunday, when we will sim to 8/15.  That also means that this sim is the trade deadline.

July I Sim Done -- Trade Deadline Approaching

Game Date:  7/16/2023

Who uploaded?:
Antelope Valley
Atlanta
Brick
Hickory
Houston
London
Maui
Seattle
Shackamaxon

Standings:
Adams:  Hickory's lead over Brooklyn has grown to three games.
Zotti:  Seattle's lead is at... oh, heck.  Does it even matter?
Signorino:  Maui leads by seven games.
Wild Card:  Brooklyn leads Brick by three games.

Awards & Accomplishments:
Houston 1B Nigel Bryant named Player of the Week (7/3) (again? -- for those keeping score, that's three Player of the Week and two Player of the Month awards this season.)
Nigel Bryant hits for the cycle and goes 5 for 6 (7/9)
London's Raul Ortega named Player of the Week (7/10)

Are You Aware...?:
...that Nigel Bryant is hitting .382 with 33 home runs, 72 RBI, 72 walks and an OPS of 1.220 and an OPS of 214?  Yeah, that means that his OPS is more than twice the league average.  His WAR is 8 -- and it's only (slightly past) midseason!

Significant Injuries:
Shackamaxon 2B John Grondin will miss 6 weeks with a torn ankle ligament.
London will be without Brian Frison for four weeks as he rehabilitates a fractured thumb.
Antelope Valley 3B Lawrence Richardson tore his meniscus and will be out for six weeks.
Jorge Hernandez will not be in the Armadillos lineup for about six weeks with shoulder tendinitis.
Reliever Merlin Bohon will be missing from the New York bullpen for two to three months with elbow tendinitis.
Houston will be missing Peter Roberts for three weeks.

Next sim: Next Sunday.  The next sim will only go to July 30, so as to allow for an extra week of trading.
