One More Signing

CF George Rawlins found a new home in Seattle today, signing a 2 year deal worth $11.65 million per year. The 33 year old center fielder spent last year with River Cities and Walla Walla, hitting .329 with 27 dingers and 106 RBI. He also made his second All-Star appearence and won his first Cecil Cup with River Cities.

Next sim will be tomorrow or Thursday night.

  1. He must really like his coffee... I offered him $20M per for 2 years and $15M per for 3 years....

Well, if anyone wants to move some salary, I've got a LOT of payroll room. OF or SP help in particular would be wanted.

  2. I saw you keep making offers to him and was nervous you were going to outbid me. I guess I was right that you would outbid me, but shouldn't have worried. Rawlins must have grown up here.

If it makes you feel any better, I've had that kind of thing happen to me on prior years. The free agents in this game sometimes make what seem to be really goofy moves.

  3. Damn, with Wawlings making 11M and getting offers of 20M I'm getting really scared of what it's gonna take to keep Shunk long term.

  4. Damn. One little monumental election and all the salaries go to hell.

Boy, am I happy I don't need anyone to repeat.

  5. I would have outbid all y'all, had Rawlins wanted to talk to me.

Last year, Troy Nelson stopped wanting my money, and this year, it's Rawlins.

WTF is going on in this league?
