Greetings SDMBers!

Some of you may know me from that "other" league, but for those of you who don't, I look forward to getting to know you. I'll spare you my life story and boil my existence down to a single sentence: My name is Brian, I live in Washington, DC, and I'm a SysAdmin for the government.

I'll be taking over the Ohio franchise, and while I haven't had a chance to download the league file, it appears that the Buckeyes need some work. I'll make another post in the next few days with who's available (probably everyone) and what I'm looking for (probably picks and prospects). If there's someone who you've had your eye on, shoot me an email (bhockin(at)gmail.com) and I'm sure we can work something out.

Happy preseason!

  1. Welcome Brian! I am your new division rival, along with Mack (Seattle) and Fred Goldfarb (Brick). I'm also Zev's assistant commissioner -- any email confirmations of trades should also be sent to me (michael@symbiola.com) in case he asks me to run the sim.

We sim a half-month at a time during the season, usually weekly on Wednesday or Thursday nights. We'll sim to the 16th one week, and then to the 1st of the next month the following week. Waiver periods are 18 days long, to accommodate the longer-than-15-day sims we often get.

I think that's the pertinent information you'll need. Now, go and rebuild your team, compete with Fred for 3rd place in the Zotti, and trade all your best players to me so I can finally unseat Mack atop the division. :)

  3. Welcome Brian! I'm no longer the newbie owner in the league, having seniority over you by one full season! We're not in the same division, so you're clearly better off shipping your best players to me - you don't want a division rival beating on you with all of your old players!
