Hickory 3B George LaBarre tore his ACL and will be out for 9-10 months.
London RP Fei-hsien Bao tore a flexor tendon. Not only is he done for this season, it looks like he's going to miss the entire 2027 season as well.
Houston 2B Pedro Tapia strained a groin muscle. He's out for six weeks.
Shackamaxon 3B Matt Stokes has a knee inflammation. He's out 2-3 weeks.
Milestones:
Ohio RP Robert Riddick recorded his 300th save, the fourth pitcher to reach that mark.

This season has been very exciting and frustrating at the same time. My team after about a decade of not being a factor is finally in a playoff race, but I just can't get over the hump. I have been a few games shy of my expected record all season while the other 2 teams in contention in my division have been a few games above. I have been projected to lead the division just about all season, but can't get over the hump. One and a half months to go, I hope my team can hold it together for one last run.

ReplyDeleteAlso, shout out to the Zotti division - 2 locks for the playoffs and the last 2 teams are tied for the 2nd wildcard.
I think there is only one wildcard in this league, Brian.

ReplyDeleteIt'd be kind of awesome if we could have a second wild card, with a play-in game (or best-of-three series) like MLB has now. Of course, the play-in game will often decide the Zotti Division Second Place Winner.
