Sim 9.1 Done!

NOTE: This is the re-run of the ninth sim. In the original invalid sim, all team rosters were jumbled up, seemingly by the computer, and rosters were changed. Because of this, I had to restore a backup and re-run the sim.

The good news is there were no major injuries this sim.

Game Date: June 6, 2033

Who Uploaded:

  • Antelope Valley
  • Appalachian
  • Brick
  • Chicago
  • Houston
  • Maui
  • Mepkin Abbey
  • Philadelphia

Standings:

  • Adams Division: Brick and Brooklyn are tied
  • Zotti Division: Milwaukee leads Chicago by 2.5 games
  • Signorino Division: Philadelphia leads Maui by 11 games
Last Sim's Trivia Question:

Willie Mays hit 660 home runs in his storied career.  Who are the pitchers who gave up the first of those 660 and the last?

Luke came up with half the answer -- Warren Spahn gave up Mays's first homer.  Fred came up with the other half -- his last home run was hit off of Reds ace Don Gullett.

This Sim's Trivia Question:

Who was the last player to lose time to military service?  Correct answer in the #random channel on Slack earns you 100 commissioner points.

Next sim:  Sunday night. Start sorting out your minor league rosters!

  1. Draft results changed a lot though; I happened to go in last night and rearrange my low-A and A-ball teams after the draft, and can tell this morning that at least after round 1, it gets very different (e.g. -- I had gotten John Brandon (1b) on the last one, didn't get him this time). were you all having to go in and rearrange the draft order (adding some supplemental picks, etc.)? Definitely got a very different crop of draftees out of it. Shouldn't matter I suppose, and i guess if there's some "or's" on the draft board maybe the Scout picks different guys on his own accord? I've never re-run a draft before to see if the AI changes its mind about who to pick, so it could be some variance in the game.
