Annual amateur draft (2):
  1. CL Junior Cuomo (2003 - 1st round)
  2. 2b Bill Turek (2005 - 1st round)
Minor league expansion in 2003 (1):
  1. CF Sean Arant
Via trade (6):
  1. SS Ricky Peppers -- from California, 7/29/2004

  3. 1B Luis Jeon -- from Hickory, 2/2/2006 for Frank Dejean and Pierre Moya (aka, the second best trade I ever made)
  4. SP Wendell Sorg -- from Saskatoon, 7/22/2006 for Robert Leavy and Joseph Michalski (aka, the best trade I ever made)
  5. SP Bradford McGreevey -- from River Cities, 1/28/2008 for Martin Baker
  6. LF Mario Kelly -- from Seattle, 1/30/2008 for Ted Wine
