Game 1 to Maui and Brick

The Maui Mashers started off the 2030 postseason with a bang, as they jumped all over Seattle starter Toyoshige Takahashi for seven runs in three innings.

Takahashi's troubles started right away when leadoff hitter Thomas Lyons launched a 1-2 pitch over the right field wall in the first inning.  Takahashi would end up giving up two more home runs before being lifted to start the fourth inning.

In the nightcap, Brick waited until the fifth inning to put a run on the board, but by the time the game ended, they put up ten more, to defeat Seattle 11-2.

Game 2 will be Monday night.

  2. So *that's* Seattle's secret to winning. Definitely gotta try that next season!
