The rollover to 2013 will be done on Thursday night. It looks like no one objected* to the Wild Cards playoffs so we'll incorporate that for next season.
As for OOTP9, we still have a little time as the upgrade, if it is going to happen, can't happen before opening day. So, we'll allow debate on that to continue for a bit longer.

* Actually, I hate wild card playoffs, but then again I'm an old-school purist. But I'm clearly out-voted here.
I'm old school, too, and hate the wild card. But, no one seemed to support my alternative of getting four playoff teams (four three-team divisions), so I'll take the lesser of two evils.
ReplyDeleteHey, what do you mean, YOUR alternative?
ReplyDeleteGood decisions, all around, in my opinion Zev. Hurray for the Commish!
ReplyDeleteTop three = best record in each division...if that was unclear
ReplyDeleteI like the addition of the wild cards, and I like the way Zev handled it. I know it may add another level of complexity to this whole issue, but what about having 3, 4 team divisions with the top three going to the playoffs and the best record of the remaing 9 teams going also. Just like they do it in the AL and NL. Just a thought that could make things more interesting than just the top 2 teams making it from each league.
ReplyDeleteNot really feasible in the 6.5 software. It likes leagues so we'd have one league with two divisions and one league with one division. It would try to choose the best second place finisher from both.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me. Carry on :)
ReplyDeleteOh, sure, you were first CHRONOLOGICALLY.
ReplyDeleteMoving to 9 is fine with me.
