Last Sim of the Season and the Playoffs
Likewise, in the event that I do capture the Adams League wildcard, he will run the first round of the playoffs.
And, assuming that I capture the wildcard and defeat Seattle in the first round*, he will run the Cecil Cup sims as well.
Michael may alter the schedule from Saturday night. If he does, he will post it here.
Don't ask what will be if both Michael and I play against each other for the Cecil Cup... we'll cross the bridge then. :)

* Odds of my beating Seattle in the first round: about the same as the odds of pulling a single blue marble out of a pile of red marbles where the pile is the size of the sun.

Sim 12: Well, at least they're not tied anymore...
Yep, with four games left to play, the Sternwheelers have taken a two game lead in the Zotti League. Their magic number is now three.
In the Adams League, Brooklyn finally managed to reach the .500 mark since early in the year and they lead the Saskatoon Amigos by one game in the hunt for the Adams League wild card spot. The Saskatoon Amigos are one back and the Hickory Huskers could theoretically still land a tie for the Wild Card.
Last sim of the regular season will be on Saturday night.

Agh! I now love/hate Saturday!
Blessing: I can focus all day on how my boys will do. Will I finally put Paul away? Will he (gulp) put ME away? Worry worry. Twitch twitch.
Curse: I'm doing it where my wife can mock me about it instead of my staff. And I'm not the one who signs her paychecks so I have no way to prevent the mockery.
AGH!!!

Sim 11: Did you hear the one about the two teams who were tied all season...
... well they're still at it. New York and River Cities are still tied with 100 wins each.
Of course, the Adams League title was already decided on April 1. However, an interesting race is shaping up for the Adams League wild card between the just-sub .500 teams of Brooklyn, Hickroy and Saskatoon, with the Wolves leading the pack by one game.
Next sim on Saturday night.

Problem fixed
OK, the long and the short of it is this:
A while ago Yahoo! sent me an email saying that they were now providing unlimited disk space. My first thought on this was "Hooray!!" What I didn't see was that I had to change plans (at the same price) to take advantage of this. So, if it's the same price, why couldn't they switch me on their own? Who knows.
In any event, I've now switched plans, I should have unlimited space, and all should be right with the world. Given the trouble that we had, I'm going to hold off on the sim until tomorrow. If you haven't sent a manual file to Michael or myself, please upload one to the league site.
I currently have manual uploads from Cleveland, Seattle and Maui. So, all other owners should upload directly to the league site.

Problems, problems...
I see that people are having problems uploading to the site. I'm looking into it.

UPDATE: Despite Yahoo! telling me that I have unlimited disk space, that, apparently, seems not to be the case. I'm dumping some old stuff now.

River Cities 2013: The Greatest Infield of All Time?
Behold their statistical glory:
1B: Gregorio Marzano .321/.408/.502 HR 21
2B: Timothy Palacio .325/.408/.566 HR 24
SS: John Hukill .341/.451/.608 HR 31
3B: Ronald Quijada .302/.423/.497 HR 25
That's an entire infield, all hitting over .300, all with OBP above .400, and the lightest OPS .910, which is MVP level performance. In addition, they have hit 101 home runs between them. That's more HR among the four of them that four other teams have hit as a unit!
And all of that with six weeks left to go. Can I get a magical All-30 HR infield? Only time will tell?
