With the 2025 season upon us, and sky-high expectations in the City of Brotherly Love for the team that made it to the Cecil Cup finals last season, the Shackamaxon Lenape shored up its beleaguered bullpen.
In two separate deals with division rivals, the Lenape have acquired lefty Mike Campbell from Seattle and righty Kwang-sub Kim from Ohio. The Monarchs will receive the shell of once-dominant reliever Bill Dewall and a 4th round pick in the 2026 amateur draft in return for Campbell, and the Buckeyes will receive utility infielder Ken Moore for Kim.
Lenape GM Michael Weintraub explains: "We needed bullpen help, especially with Will Stout, Tsumich Yoshida, and spring surprise Jeff King on the DL. We think Kim will dominate in the closer's role for us, and Campbell should be able to provide some effective late innings, as well.
"We hated to lose Ken Moore, but with our minor league infield prospects knocking on the door, and our resigning of John Grondin, there really wasn't going to be a good chance for him to get regular work. We wish him all the best in Ohio."
With these moves, the Shackamaxon Lenape 25-man opening day roster is set:
Catchers: George Robinson and Bobby Krieger
Infielders: David Seibel, John Grondin, John Hukill, Miguel Martinez, Hernando Albacete, and Matt Stokes
Outfielders: Tomas Kalakay, Steve Keo, Jose Molina, Guy Imbeault*, and Santiago Salazar
Starting Pitchers: Ivan Gallardo, Scott Loman, Jermaine Earp, Jake Miller, and Dennis Durand*
Relief Pitchers: Kwang-sub Kim*, Adam Hone, Mike Campbell,* Tony Dominguez, Walker Hendricks*, Alonso Cruz*, and Ambroz Ondra
* = Offseason acquisitions
