Sim Done!

The game date is 5/1. The league file is up and the league pages have been updated.

In the Adams League, it's Maui in front by one game over Seattle. In the Zotti League, Cleveland holds a one game lead over River Cities.

Next sim - next Wednesday

  1. Ooh. Not sure I like where THIS is heading!

Still, after a month both leagues are competitive. Should be a fun season.

Still, April was good. Hukill and Villatoro were batter and pitcher of the month. Ron Amos had a 22 game hitting streak.

Cleveland lost Gerth for eight months, though. That smarts. Especially as Gerth was 3-1 in April with an ERA of 1.72.

LA's Callahan getting hurt twice in three days is painful, too. The first a day-to-day and the second for seven weeks. Both on 'defensive plays'.

New York lost Benite Torre for the rest of the year and he might be back for opening day next year. Ouch!

Man, to date (one month in) we've seen three players knocked out for the season. None to River Cities, thank God.

Wow, on April 27 Saskatoon put up 10 runs in the first against Seattle. They eventually won 15-9 as Seattle put up 7 in the fifth!

Gonna be a long season. I can tell now.

  2. I think we need to stop the season now, as Cleveland is in first place overall. Who would have thought that two seasons ago. When I took over the team I had the goal of winning it all in 2016, but maybe it will happen a season sooner.

Losing Ernest 'Chicks dig the' Gerth is gonna hurt that is for sure. He had made himself into a nice #1 pitcher, not something I expected out of him. It really sucks that at the end of spring training I had to put some pitchers on wavers because they were out of options. Last time I ignore that, I could use Mitchell now.

Grondin is still on pace for 78 HRs and 248 RBIs this season, I believe those would be records, and Junior is on pace for 60 saves which would be nice.

The Steamers are firing on all cylinders so I think this is going to be a good season, and I look forward to it, especially looking at how the Adams League is going to turn out. It looks like all 6 teams have a chance at the 2 playoff positions. It may be nice to see new teams in the playoff hunt.

  3. No! No it wouldn't. I've liked things just the way they are.

  4. Well, my class A team finally won a game (four of them, to be exact) in the second sim, so now the Will They Ever Win a Game? watch is on my major league squad, which is 0-7 vs LHP through the first month.

Keep lining up those lefties against the Scorps, guys! We can't hit them, and if I'm going to lose 90 games this year, I might as well lose 110!

  5. I am just savoring what will likely be a very brief moment on top of the Adams League. Clearly, my 5-2 record against Seattle cannot be sustained...
