Sim's Done

It's now April 15. I hope all your players paid their taxes, or else you're liable to see "Player X out for five to fifteen years in prison."

That being said, it's Seattle in the lead with a 10-3 record and a 2 game lead over Maui in the Adams League and Cleveland and River Cities perched atop the Zotti League with identical 11-2 records.

Next sim on Wednesday night.

  1. Not a bad start to the season...two small sample size states funnies...if Grondin Keeps it up, is on pace for 100 HRs and a VORP of over 200, I believe that borh would be a record...and if Junior keeps it up he will end up with a record 87 saves.

I know both will not happen, but it would be something!!!

  2. If only two of us get to be over .500 I'm glad to be one of them. And being tied for the best record overall is better than not, I suppose. I still think this'll be a tough year in both leagues as the competition is getting better.

Nice to see David get bitch-slapped in his debut. Always nice when reporter gets to do that to a politician. Sort of reinforces the natural order of things. Comforting.

I see the 12th was a bad day for pitching. Maui lost Carballo, Seattle lost Placencia, and LA lost Painter.

In my edition of Small Sample Size Theatre...

Villatoro is on pace for 39 wins with an ERA of 1.14. The scary thing about that ERA is that Bob Gibson once bested that in real life!

Second Baseman Tim Palacio is on pace to rack up 208 hits with an AVG of .516.

Third Baseman Ronald Quijada is roaring to a now-predicted RBI total of 273. Fear him!

The next week has Los Angeles for three, Ohio and Cleveland for one. Let's see what the future brings!

  3. I am glad that in the head to head with River Cities I have 27 home games in the series this season. That may give me the advantage I need to take the Zotti League...And also if Aikin and/or Thomas start hitting this season, look out, Cleveland will be a force!!!

  4. Ouch. Stupidly forgot to reset my rotation to "5-man rotation" from "6-man rotation," resulting in oddities like Frank Osborne starting two games in a row and my pitching generally stinking on ice. Six games back after 13 games... woof. On the upside...

Nope, there is no upside. Bring on the next sim!

  5. Wow. 3-10 isn't good, and losing my "ace" for a month isn't better, but check out my A level team, Caprica. They started out 0-13!

  6. Sorry about that Michael, I told them to call off the dogs, but they never listen to the owner. You did win the first game of the season so you had the lead for a game...

  7. So, two Monarchs currently injured, although neither injury is terribly serious. Eight players in my minor league system currently injured, including four starting position players and two starting pitchers. And, that includes one of my top prospects going down not only for this season but the start of next season. Yeah. I love the injury settings in this league. Makes the whole game really fun.

(As long as the settings stay as is, I reserve the right to bitch about them, even if it annoys the crap out of everyone else.)

  8. Did anyone hear anything? It was like the flutter of a moth's wing.

  9. Mack you forgot to mention that you have another day-to-day injury player, that makes 9 injured Monarchs. I feel inferior with only 5 injured minor leaguers and one ML injured. At least not many are that serious, only one season ending injury.

It hits us all, at least you only have 2 longer than 2 weeks. I see that as normal. I think there should be more shorter injuries and less longer injuries as it does not affect the team as much.

I hope you don't get too many more Mack...
