Demarcus Ramirez Shuts Down Cleveland

Demarcus Ramirez completely shut down the Steamer batters by pitching eight innings of one hit ball. Ramirez struck out eight and walked no one in his eight innings of work. In fact, outside of a leadoff single by CF Monte Goss, no Steamer batter reached base. After the Goss single, Ramirez retired the next 24 batters.

The hitting star of the game was SS Royal Wilson (him again?) who went 3-4 with an RBI and run scored.

Game 4 -- Thursday night.

  1. Oooof...How I expected this game to go, but I was hoping for more than ONE hit. I hope I can pick up games 4 and 5 so I can make this a series and not let Saskatoon fun away with this thing.

  2. Go Saskatoon! The Adams teams lead the Zotti teams in titles 7-6 (after being behind 5-2 at one point). I'd like to see that pushed to a two-title advantage.

One nice thing though about this series, however it turns out, is that a franchise will become a first time champ. The prior 13 titles are held by only four franchises.

  3. It's nice to see that Ramirez is still the stud he's been for ten seasons now. This game was even more impressive than his previous other Cecil Cup start (Saskatoon's only victory over me in 2007)

  4. He is the man. I hope to be the first time winner, and to keep the Addams league tied. It is all on my shoulders now.
