The Monarchs Have A Dozen Crowns

The Seattle Monarchs captured their twelfth Cecil Cup with a 2-1 defeat of the Brick Barracudas today.

The game, essentially, ended after the first inning when Seattle put two runs on the board in the top of the inning on a Steve Jones double and an RBI single by Sung-heun Hwa.  Brick put up a run in the bottom of the inning with a solo homer by Salvador Velasquez.  After that, the pitchers took over as only one batter managed to reach second base over the next eight innings.

We'll give Mack a few days to bask in the glory of his title and resume with the off-season later in the week.  Congratulations to both Mack and Fred on terrific seasons.
