Sadly, Ricky Peppers career season with my team will possibly be his last. He's due to hit free agency in the next sim, and even though he's about to turn 37 years old, insists on a Grondin-esque contract.
ReplyDeleteI traded for Peppers as a throw-in to a trade that featured Lincoln Rossetti way back in 2005, I think. He was a promising prospect at the time, but no one, least of all me, expected him to turn into the first-ballot Hall of Famer he has become. After a struggle in his rookie season, he turned it on in 2008 and never looked back.
I hope to sign Ricky on the open market, but, in case I can't, I know he'll enter the Hall of Fame wearing a Sluggers/Manatees/Scorpions/Lenape hat.
