While we have this lull in the hot, hot playoff action, I just wanted to drop a reminder about my prior post on the Hall of Fame.
I recognize that I may be the only person interested in this topic. If so, I'll happily go off and figure out who I think should be in the Hall of Fame and basically just amuse myself.
But, if anyone else is even remotely interested in this, please let me know in the comments section. Thanks.
I am interested in this, but because I have not been in the league since it's inception, I do not feel I am qualified to make decisions on who should be in our out of the Hall of Fame. But I do think that it would be nice to get more of the all around impactful players into the Hall.
ReplyDeleteEven if you weren't here for the entire history of the league, you're certainly smart anough about baseball and the game to look at a player's career and develop an opinion of whether he should be in or out of the Hall of Fame.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely interested.

It's really a pity someone like Shaun Guinn came into the league at age 31. His numbers, should we have had another 8-10 years of him, would have justified a trip to the HoF.
ReplyDeleteYou might be able to make a case for Sean Arant, too, if you tried. And Russ Powell. If he'd had the extra early years 500 or 550 home runs would have been achievable goals.
In terms of pitchers there are some oddballs. But most of the top ones are still active and therefore ineligible.
