This time, Kyle Fike was out to get even. After losing Game 1 of the series in terrible fashion, Kyle Fike put on his A-game and held the Seattle Monarchs to three hits over eight innings. Only one runner even reached third base in the entire game for Seattle, as the Mashers defeated the Monarchs 5-0.
Game 4 will be Sunday night (not before 7PM EDT).
And WHAM, just like that it's a three game sprint to the end. We're guaranteed a six-game series. Can it go to seven?
ReplyDeleteMy defense is not helping my pitchers very much. Of the eight runs scored by Maui in the series, six have been unearned. Come on guys. Catch the ball. Throw the ball. It's not that hard.
ReplyDeleteHappy to get the win. Gonna be tough going forward, since I'll face both Placencia and Hester in the coming games, and Fike is unlikely to pitch again. Also, now I've lost Lefebvre for the remainder of the series, which will make it even harder to score runs. I could use some more luck right about now!
