Next sim, next Tuesday.
A 4-10 sim, yeah, that's more like it.
ReplyDeleteOoof, not a great sim there for me either as I fall to last place in the Adams with a .536 winning percentage. All the heavy hitters seem to be in the Adams (no offense Saskatoon). I would be in Second in the Zotti and leading in the Signorino. That puts me third in the wild card behind the other two Adams teams that are not River Cities.
ReplyDeleteThere is some good news in Cleveland as Monte Goss signed for 4 more seasons, very easily I must say. He is set to get $30.8M over 4 years and I think worth every penny. Now I have to start freeing up money for Grondin and Kaler, to keep this core around.
I also have to give props to the River Cities bullpen as I did not think that anyone could have a better bullpen than I have put together (Cuomo and Valles and Pough, oh my), but they have. I am going to be interested to see where the two bullpens place throughout the season.
Well, coming a bit back to earth on this sim. Still, I finish the month two games in first, extending the lead one game, and that's still a quantum leap ahead of where we were this time last year.
ReplyDeleteWalker continues to be a happy rookie, though I don't think he's quite won ROY as Zev stated up there! Give it a few more months and we can talk.
The bullpen of Dollar Doom keeps its happy ways up with two of them, Fullen and Ramos, yet to surrender a run earned or otherwise. Collectively they have K/BB of 96/22 or 4.36-1. I'll take that any day of the week.
Heck, even the weakest member of my pen, the one I've been shopping around, has 25 strikeouts in 16.2 innings pitched. That's deadly.
On to May, now, and to see if it holds up over the long haul.
Sorry about that... it should have been Rookie of the Month. Corrected.

Actually, Michael, it looks like your team started the sim 4-1 before a nine-game slide. So, you were 13-6 at one point.
ReplyDeleteThe Monarchs are off to a slow start at .500, but they started slow last year and it all worked out ok. The big three starters are all throwing fine. And, no major injuries yet. [Knocks on wood]. Our Pythagorean record is good, so hopefully things will even out over the course of the season.
