River Cities Gets To Play Another Day!

Juan Villatoro pitched seven innings of one-run ball to lead the River Cities Sternwheelers to a 5-2 victory over Seattle.

  2. Marzano had a terrible game for the Monarchs and single-handedly left a lot of guys on base. But, Macaluso against Villatoro isn't a match-up I'm going to win very often. I just wish we'd made Villatoro throw a few more pitches so he'd be more tired for a potential Game 7.

    Realistically, I need to win one of the next two games, with Hester and Placencia going, to take the series. Vargas has had a great half-year as a starter, but I don't really want to rest the title on the shoulders of a converted reliever.
