It just means that when I do finally win the division, it will be that much sweeter. Baseball is all about patience...
DeleteAlso, my rookie 3B Ruben Noya pitched 1 1/3 inning of mop-up duty in a game this sim. Has a position player pitched ever before now? I've seen pitchers used as fielders in the past, but never vice versa.

ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question, the only other instance of a position player pitching in league history at the major league level occured in 2023 when RF Bruno Carmona pitched 1/3 of an inning in 2023 for Ohio.
