Cecil Cup Game 1

Cecil Cup veterans Seattle Monarchs, paced by Carmelo Deleon's 3-for-4 day, defeated newcomers New York Gothams 5-4 in the opening game of the 2013 Cecil Cup.

Zev informs me that he's re-fitting his commissioner's hat and will take over from here on out. Game 2 will be Thursday evening.

The league file is up.

  1. I watched this game on replay, without knowing what happened. Utterly nerve-wracking. Especially when Bingham hit what would have been a game-tying home run in the top of the eighth, but had it knocked down by the wind. Hurray for the wind!

  2. Cmon Michael, I expected some Zotti league favortism out of you!

I'll claim that I'm just building Mack into a false sense of security, just like I did to Nate. Yeah, that's the story.

  3. Teams I'd like to see win the Cecil Cup:

Los Angeles > field > Seattle > River Cities

So, yes, I'm pulling for you, Paul. Just don't let that imply that I'm letting my bias affect the sims I run. After all, it didn't do Brooklyn any good in the ALCS.
