Interestingly (and sadly), Brooklyn was one of only three teams (along with Hickory and Los Angeles) that did not receive any awards. The Office of the Commissioner is starting an investigation into the matter. :)

Tonight, I'll be simming up to the start of free agency. Last chance to resign those guys who are about to go free.

  1. Let's get it moving! I'm ready.

And Thomas did manage to break Villatoro's streak of Outstanding Pitcher award! Woo!

  2. Man, I traded Burton this season. Plus, I thought that Soriano would win Outstanding Newcomer. Hmm... something is wrong with the Los Angeles prospect system.

And, two out of the three award-less teams were owned by the commissioners. Something is very wrong.

  3. Thank you for trading me Burton Michael...it is greatly appreciated.

2 straight seasons with the Outstanding Newcomer award...what Steamer will win it next season???

  4. I like that it lists McGreevy as at Jersey City (my AAA team) since I removed him from my playoff roster!

  5. Does anyone know when the first year player draft pool will be available? Before, after, or during free agency?

  8. Is anyone else having problems of various kinds? Not all seven comments are showing on the main blog page, and I'm getting an FTP error when I try to download the league file.

  9. I believe there is something wrong with the OOTP FTP site. I am in a seperate league, and getting the same error.

  10. Also can we get a schedule of what the offseason is going to look like becasue this is the first one in OOTP9 for most of us. Thanks.

  11. I'm getting the same error trying to connect to the FTP site to download the new file.

But, Jeremy, since this league and the OEL are on different sites and servers, you shouldn't be getting that message for the OEL. If you are, drop me an email.

  12. It is not for the OEL, taht one seems to be working correctly but for a third league that I just joined about a month ago. I really do have no life.

  13. By the way, Frank, I have the same issue with the blog from time to time. I've learned not to take the blog at it's word and just check the threads where I think there may be new comments. I think it's a Blogger thing, and unrelated to any issues with Zev's ftp site.

  14. OK, folks, here's the story:

I ran the sim yesterday, taking the game to 11/16/2013 and uploaded the league file.

I then decided to upload the league reports, as some of them have not been updated in a while.

About a third of the way through, however, the process died. Since then, I cannot access izev.com via FTP.

I'm seriously considering just moving the game to another domain I own at another hosting facility.

    I'll keep everyone posted.
