... Seattle, with an 11-3 victory. Of course, both teams end up in the playoffs anyway as Saskatoon wins the wild card.
Playoff Round Match-ups:
Maui (104-58) vs. Saskatoon (106-57)
Hickory (86-76) vs. Seattle (107-56)
(No offense to Frank and Mack, but I think the interesting series to watch will be Maui/Saskatoon).
Preliminary Schedule:
Game 1: Monday night
Game 2: Tuesday night
Game 3: Wednesday night
Game 4: Thursday night
Game 5: Saturday night
Games 6-7: TBA
Oh yeah? Well, the Hickory general manager is going on record as saying that he absolutely guarantees that Hickory will probably very nearly almost manage to pull out at least one game.
ReplyDeleteSo there.
As I am fond of saying, anything can happen in the playoffs. I admit I am surprised to be playing Hickory, as I thought I would be going against Saskatoon regardless of what happened. Live and learn.
ReplyDeleteVery happy for game 163. Winning the division and keeping the streak intact (11 straight years) was gratifying. Placencia got to 20 wins and should have sealed his third Cy Young and second award in a row. The bats came alive. All in all, a good day for the Monarchs.
We now welcome Winston Satterlee to the organization. He is expected to take over at second base (at least against RHP). Second has been a bit of a black hole for the team this year. So, hat tip to Michael for the early release.
Now, on to the playoffs!
