I'm fascinated by this year's free agent class, actually. I'm curious how people will value Grondin versus Hukill - Grondin's a better hitter and much younger, obviously, but Hukill is a plus defender if you put him at 2B and Grondin is a butcher. I would have thought Hukill would be a cheap bargain option, but apparently Hukill doesn't think so.
I'm also very interested to see how the various starting pitchers will be valued. There's a lot of different pitchers who are good, each with their strengths and weaknesses.
Is it me, or is this year's FA class particularly strong?* Considering that, you'd think they would have slightly more reasonable demands.
ReplyDelete* Except for the closers. I'm so glad I re-signed Junior Cuomo and don't have to bid against everyone for him.
Well, there's a lot of money out there waiting to be spent too. I expect that's driving up the prices.
ReplyDeleteYep I messed up with Grondin, my loss is one of your gains. I hate the economics of this game

ReplyDeleteI agree that is going to be interesting Frank.
