Oh great, a 3-9 sim and my collapse is complete. Runner up in the Cecil Cup last year, to (right now at least) the third worst record in the league.
ReplyDeleteFrom a quick look, the collapse was across the board - I can only find one player who clearly had a better year this year than last - Bill Turek. Well, I guess next year we find out if this year was a fluke, or if 2013 was.
Well it was a good sim for me, 9-3, including 4-0 against Paul's NY team (sorry man). The Steamers are now 2 games up in the Wild Card race in the ZL with 4 games to go (2 against Walla Walla who is right behind me, so this is not over).
ReplyDeleteI also have to give it up for late season acquisition 1B Ronald Aikin winning 2 consecutive player of the week awards and the player of the month award for September.
And finally, the Steamers have secured the first .500 season in franchise history. Congrats to the guys for making this happen.
I've pulled Jeffrey Shuttleworth from the rotation this month so he doesn't meet 200 innings, and get the $2.5m bonus he'd earn if he did so. In the last sim, I had him as my #2 closer, and he got four consecutive saves.
ReplyDeleteHe may be the closer of the future in Los Angeles.
Four games to go. Lutz needs three home runs to catch Casarez. He's also been passed in RBI by the scorchingly hot Paul Shunk. He may have lost his chance at history. Well, other than highest paid player EVAR.
ReplyDeleteAnd, Gerhardt still needs two SBs, as he's sitting at 98. Will be close, I expect.
I am saying nothing about anything. So close.
