Sim Completed

I ran the sim last night (at about 2AM) and the league files have been updated. The reports are unzipping now.

Next sim will be Tuesday night.

  1. Good sim for infielders. Peppers resigns with Los Angeles for big bucks. Alustiza resigns with Seattle for almost as big bucks. Alard signs with Houston. Mccrea signs with New York.

Hickory continues a strong offseason by adding Frank Osborne, the strikeout master of the SDMB OOTP. He only needs to strike out one more guy to pass Pimental on the all time list, and will probably be the first pitcher to 3000 Ks. And that's not even mentioning the insane 343 whiffs Osborne racked up in 2007.

    Lots of other signings too.

    Songer to River Cities.
    Amaral to Hickory.
    Dull to Walla Walla.
Theriault to Walla Walla. (Computer must like relievers)
Hickory's scout unearthed a Guatemalan reliever.

    Good stuff.

  2. Edwards to Cleveland, he may not have signed for much, but he is going to have a big impact in getting Cleveland back to the Cecil Cup.

  3. Zev, can you please comment on why the financial changes haven't been implemented yet, and when this will happen?

  4. I'm astonished that 1/3 of my relief corps last year is worth $10MM per year.

What's the story with an owner for Walla Walla? I know I put someone in contact about it a while ago. And that computer owner is harming that franchise.

  5. Also to point out that Osborne is #14 in wins; #71 in ERA; #1 in Losses; #1 in BBs; #7 in IP; #4 in games started; #3 in HR allowed just to name a few. Gotta give it to someone who has longevity, and looks like he has 3-4 years left at least. Gotta love stats.

  6. The thing with Osborne is that for a few years he racked up huge numbers of games started and innings pitched as he threw basically every three or four days. I've always been a little amazed he never really got hurt.

Caution: This comes from my memory and may be completely made up.
