Crazy Eight for Seattle

The Seattle Monarchs captured their eighth Cecil Cup today with an 11-1 victory over the Maui Mashers.  The hitting heroes of the game are catcher Steve Jones, who went 3-for-5 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI and 1B Juan Gomez who was 4-for-5 with a pair of solo homers.

We'll give Mack a few days to bask in the glory of his victory before continuing with the league.

  1. Oh I see it now, I must have been an idiot before. Maui is favored to win this Cecil Cup.

In all seriousness, congrats to Mack and Matt for great seasons and lets get a great draft next year so I can start rebuilding.

  2. Congrats to Maui on a great season.

And congrats to the 2021 Seattle Monarchs for being the first team in league history to go 8-0 in the postseason.

Now, time to get back to the best part of the game, offseason moves! Well, time after a few days of basking in computer-generated glory.

  3. Congrats Mack. Now let Ricky Peppers retire with a ring, and a parade in Philadelphia (Hey, Ray Bourque got a parade in Boston for winning the Stanley Cup with Colorado).
