[Still hoping Brooklyn wins, while trying to win myself ...]
So, lots of stuff happening in one game.
Monarchs starting pitcher Enrico Hernandez not only holds the Wolves to one run in 7.1 innings, but also hits a solo home run for the first run in Seattle's 2-1 win. Game MVP indeed.
Ex-Monarch Luis Cedeno doubles home Brooklyn's only run, but his error the next half-inning leads to Seattle's winning run.
And, Seattle's starting second baseman Ivan Castillo is hurt with the dreaded "diagnosis pending." Guess it's a good thing I decided to keep an extra infielder.
I'm not sure about the OOTP rules, but in MLB, just about anyone can replace an injured player on the post season roster. You'll just have to do some roster tweaking to get Peppers onto your playoff roster.

By the way, I planned to put Ricky Peppers on my playoff roster, but the game rules (which mirror MLB) wouldn't let me. Such a bummer.
ReplyDeleteThe Monarchs family is thrilled though that Mr. Peppers remains with the squad with his new title of assistant hitting and infield coach.

ReplyDeleteMichael, I don't think I can add Peppers at all because he wasn't in my system before September 1. Totally sucks.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you shouldn't have claimed him, then. :)
ReplyDeleteNo, because he still deserves to retire as a member of a successful franchise. :)
