Seattle and Maui win again, again

Home field was not a friend for either Barstow or Brooklyn, as the two underdogs, already trailing 2-0, both lost critical home games. Maui and Seattle are both up three games to none, and are on a collision course for their third straight matchup in the Cecil Cup.

On the east coast, Brooklyn had little opportunity to break through against Seattle starter Juan Morrales, who pitched seven strong innings, only allowing two hits and a walk. Jonathan Anderson had two home runs for the Monarchs in their 5-1 victory over the Wolves.

Over in California, playing on the mainland was no problem for the Maui Mashers, as Barstow's two home runs from Gregorio Marzano was not enough to help the Lizards. Maui won 8-4 in convincing fashion.

Game four in both series will be on Tuesday night. Will the first game of the Cecil Cup be simmed on Wednesday night? Time will tell.

  1. Booooo Seattle. Booooo.

Booo Maui too. We need some new blood in here. The Mashers are going for a three-peat for goodness' sake. They should be almost as hated as the Monarchs. Matt is the Red Sox to my Yankees.
